The Last Time Machine One Bright
Morning, Nobita woke up earlier than usual. That day was his 17th birthday. However, it was not a celebration that he was looking forward to, but a big decision from Doraemon.
"I have to go back to the future, Nobita," said Doraemon with a sad smile. "My job is done." Nobita was silent. Since childhood, Doraemon had always helped him—from math homework, facing Giant, to overcoming his love turmoil with Shizuka. Everything changed because of Doraemon. "But... I'm not ready yet," said Nobita quietly.
Doraemon took out one last tool from his magic pocket. "A single-use time machine. This can only be used once, by you. Use it wisely." Days passed. Nobita, now more mature, began to face life without relying on magical tools. He studied harder, was braver, and was finally accepted into his dream university.
One night, after arranging a pile of books, he saw the time machine in the desk drawer. Without thinking, he used it to go back to the time when he first met Doraemon. There, he saw only a small, whiny boy, sitting in his room with a pile of homework. The adult Nobita smiled and said to himself, "Thank you, Doraemon. I will take care of him, just like you took care of me."
