I. TUJUAN PEMBELAJARAN
Setelah mengikuti pembelajaran, peserta didik dapat:
- Mengidentifikasi penggunaan Present Continuous Tense dalam percakapan sehari-hari.
- Menyusun kalimat tanya dan jawaban yang menggunakan Present Continuous Tense.
- Melakukan percakapan sederhana tentang aktivitas yang sedang berlangsung dengan struktur yang tepat.
- Menunjukkan sikap percaya diri dan kerja sama dalam kegiatan berpasangan/kelompok.

A. Konsep Dasar Present Continuous Tense
Rumus:
- (+) S + am/is/are + V-ing
➜ I am reading a book. - (-) S + am/is/are + not + V-ing
➜ She is not watching TV. - (?) Am/Is/Are + S + V-ing?
➜ Are they playing football?
Fungsi:
Untuk menyatakan kegiatan yang sedang berlangsung saat ini.
B. Asking and Telling about Action
Contoh Kalimat Tanya (Asking):
- What are you doing?
- Is he studying now?
- Are they playing football?
- Who is cooking in the kitchen?
Contoh Kalimat Jawaban (Telling):
- I am doing my homework.
- He is studying English.
- They are playing football.
- My mother is cooking in the kitchen.

V. KEGIATAN PEMBELAJARAN
A. Kegiatan Pendahuluan (10 menit)
- Guru memberi salam dan memotivasi siswa dengan pertanyaan ringan:
“What are you doing right now?” - Guru menyampaikan tujuan pembelajaran.
- Guru menayangkan gambar/video singkat tentang aktivitas sehari-hari.
- Siswa menebak kegiatan yang dilakukan tokoh dalam gambar.
B. Kegiatan Inti (50 menit)
1. Eksplorasi (Understanding the Concept)
- Guru menjelaskan pola Present Continuous Tense.
- Siswa mencatat rumus dan contoh kalimat.
- Guru memberi latihan identifikasi: siswa menandai kalimat yang menggunakan Present Continuous Tense.
2. Elaborasi (Practicing Asking and Telling)
- Guru membagikan kartu bergambar aktivitas (misal: cooking, reading, playing).
- Secara berpasangan, siswa melakukan dialog singkat:
A: What are you doing?
B: I am cooking noodles. - Siswa saling bergantian bertanya dan menjawab.
3. Konfirmasi (Communicative Practice)
- Siswa membuat dialog 4 baris menggunakan Present Continuous Tense dalam kelompok kecil (3–4 orang).
- Mereka memerankan di depan kelas.
- Guru memberi umpan balik tentang pengucapan dan struktur.
C. Kegiatan Penutup (10 menit)
- Guru dan siswa menyimpulkan pelajaran hari ini.
- Guru memberi pujian atas partisipasi siswa.
- Guru memberi tugas rumah:
“Write 5 sentences about what your family members are doing right now.” - Doa penutup dan salam.
